Frocks of ages presents........

"Imperial Princess arilla elizabeth"

“Exquisite” is the only word that comes close to capturing the true

description of this beautiful gown.

This gown is a work of wearable art.

A treasure sure to be the center of attention at any event.

This gown is a faithful rendition of the classic gowns worn in the

Victorian period from 1876 - 1881.

The bodice and skirt are festooned with hand made morning glories with

freshwater pearl centers.  Morning glories vine up the side trim panels

of the skirt and the back trim sashes.

The skirt front panel is trimmed in lace and hand

beaded with freshwater pearls and seed beads.  In total there are 407 peach

coloured freshwater pearls on this magnificent gown.

The basic fabric of the dress is Floral Bengaline trimmed in Silk Dupioni and lace.

The bodice is boned and closes with hooks and eyes in back.  The bodice and

skirt are fully lined and inner-lined.  The slender skirt needs only a bustle pad

(included) to give it a graceful shaping.  No hoops or bustle petticoat are needed.

The bodice measures 36 inches in the bust and 30 1/2 inches in the waist.

The skirt measures 30 inches in the waist and 40 inches from waist to floor

in the front.

As always, meticulous care and authentic sewing techniques have been employed

in the construction of this gown.

This gown is named for my Grandmother Arilla Elizabeth, who, though she passed many years ago,

is ever present in my heart and in my sewing room.

  This gown is SOLD.
