Royal Princess Josephine
This beautiful gown was commissioned by Jodie Myers who decided to name the gown after her beloved Grandmother.
The inspiration for the design was taken from an original Victorian ball gown.
The fabric is glacier blue taffeta. The Venice lace is inserted with the blue taffeta and beaded with seed pearls and Swarovski crystal pearls. Tiny aqua marines were added to give the appearance of dew drops on the leaves and flowers.
The skirt is latticed and studded with crystal pearls.
The embroidered bird appliqués are hand made copies of ones on the original gown.
The butterflies are embroidered and beaded for additional colour.
Creating this gown for Jodi was a pure labour of love.
I hope that it brings her many hours of joy.
